About Guilds

Guilds are groups of skilled laborers and professionals that get together and form a monopoly on their business and skill level. Guilds are not secret, tightly knit groups (see CLANS), but rather members who share common interests.

When you join a guild, you gain certain advantages depending on what the guild specializes in. Guild members can be total enemies, good friends, or total strangers; it doesn't matter. If you are in a guild, it simply means you are a specialist in the guild's area and have gone through their training program.

IMPORTANT: GUILDMASTERS and PRACTITIONERS are NOT the same! You cannot join, for instance, the warrior's guild at the WARRIOR practitioner!

PLEASE NOTE: You are only allowed a maximum of two guilds... and some guilds don't get along with each other. You will have to find out which guilds are compatible with one another.

Guild Details

ALCHEMIST GUILD

This often colorful and very studious group of wizards have dedicated their lives to the art of alchemy. When becoming a member, you will be given increased knowledge in the areas of potion creation and mixing (if you have learned the skill).

ASSASSIN GUILD

This shady group of killers and murderers does not get along well with many other guilds. When becoming a member, you will be taught improved ways to be stealthy and hidden, and thus your skill level will increase in those areas (if you have learned the skill). Your accuracy on backstabs will also increase.

HEALER GUILD

The Healer's Guild is a special interest group who are interested in mastering the arts of healing. Your healing spells will be more powerful and your overall spell learning will be slightly increased.

RANGER GUILD

This honorable group of trackers and hunters is well-respected amongst most guilds. When becoming a member, you will gain a significant bonus in your tracking and searching skills (if you have learned the skill).

MERCHANT GUILD

The Merchant's Guild is a guild of skilled craftsmen who have come together to fine tune merchant talents. By joining the Merchant's Guild, you will receive great discounts on repair costs. You will also improve at the art of haggling and tinkering (if you have the skill learned).

THIEF GUILD

This small, shunned group of thieves focuses for the main part on the art of poisons. Your skill levels in the areas of poison knowledge and poisoning weapons will increase (if you have learned the skill). Also, thieves guild members are given bonus's in the area's of dodging and tumbling.

WARRIOR GUILD

The Warriors Guild is an association of men and women who share a common interest in the art of war. When you join this guild, you will notice an increase in the damage done on every blow to an opponent.

WIZARD GUILD

This often-unpopular guild of magicians specializes in blowing things up and general destruction. Once a member, your offense spells will increase signifigantly in power. Also, your overall spell learning will be slightly increased.
