| Lore | Vesk had this stiletto forged from a single spike of black iron, pried from the oldest sluice grate beneath A'daar, then left it a season in the plague water until the steel turned the colour of a bruise. It is thin as a reed and nearly weightless, and it makes no sound leaving its sheath. The Rotblades say every contract Vesk ever took ended on its point, and that the blade remembers each of them. When the steel glows a faint blue, it hungers to pass its rot along to whoever it is turned upon. |
